The Science Of Visual Tracking
The Problem: In standard lighting, when players look up for a lob, the background shifts from a bright court to a black ceiling. This is the “Cave Effect.” The pupil constricts, causing the ball to vanish into the void. Furthermore, round “UFO” lights create extreme pixel brightness, leading to Disability Glare and loss of tracking.
The Solution: Our Direct-Indirect fixtures direct 30-40% of light upward. This turns your ceiling into a luminous background, ensuring the ball is always visible against light, preserving depth perception and reaction time.
Why Linear?
Unlike round high bays that create “hot spots” and shadows, our 8-foot linear fixtures spread light over a massive surface area. This lowers glare intensity and creates a “bar of light” that perfectly matches the rectangular geometry of a pickleball court.
